How to Store Beets in a Root Cellar?

I grow beets. I LOVE beets! I'm the biggest fan of beets that I know. lol They are so easy to grow. Plus, they are so delicious. How can I store them in a root cellar? I always harvest my beets before any of the other vegetables in my garnden. They seem to be more sensetive than the others. I always use a pitchfork to loosten the soil first. So, how do I go about storing them in a root cellar?
